How to Set Up Meta Business Portfolio & Why You Need it
“My organization already has a Facebook page. Why should we bother with Meta Business Portfolio?”
We can answer that question in two words: security and efficiency. Your Facebook page isn’t just a way of connecting with customers, it’s a business asset and needs to be fully under your control.
Setting up your own Meta Business Portfolio secures your page, giving you final ownership of all its content. It also unlocks a host of features that streamline your social media management and help you reach more people across Meta platforms.
Security & Governance
Meta Business Portfolio allows you to manage your Facebook and Instagram accounts from a central dashboard. Your company admin will be able to control who has access to this dashboard and what they can once they’re in there. As an admin, you’ll have full control of everything, from your Facebook Ads account to Instagram post creation and scheduling.
Using the Portfolio helps businesses keep personal profiles separate from their business page and ensures that your Facebook and Instagram accounts aren’t left in the hands of one employee. You can add partner agencies, invite and remove admins, and adjust your settings as needed when employees leave or are onboarded.
Efficiency
The beauty of Meta Business Portfolio is that you can run your Facebook and Instagram accounts together from one central dashboard. This hub provides tools to create ad campaigns, schedule posts, track your page analytics, and manage user permissions in a single location. Get it running perfectly and it will transform your marketing, saving you time, money, and a lot of headaches.
If you’re using other platforms, such as X or LinkedIn, you may want to look into a social media management tool like Buffer, Hootsuite, or my own favourite for multiple clients - Sendible. If you just have Facebook and/or Instagram, all you need is Meta Business Suite’s content planner to schedule everything.
